I can't not THANK you all enough for making this very first season of PCI fun, exciting, and memorable!!! I met some people through this that have become dear friends and I couldn't have asked for a better group of crafters!!
I would also like to thank ALL of the sponsors!!! Without you there would be no prizes..and everyone loves prizes! :)

Each week they impressed me more and more with their creativity! One just has to take a look back at the projects to see all the time, thought and heart that went into each and every one!!!

The votes for the final competition broke down like this: #1 - 30, #2- 11 and #3- 11! Our special jury choose #3 to receive 5 extra votes bringing #3's total votes to 16!!!

But now it has come time to announce our very first winner ever here on the Island!!! So PLEASE join me in congratulating...

The Finals

Good Morning Islanders & Beach goers!!!

It's hard to believe it's time to see the final projects! This has been an awesome 3 months! Season #1 has totally blown me away with their talent! But like all good things the Island must come to an end...

But not before rocking out another challenge! :)

This week (and yes they truly only had 1 week to make these!) I issued 3 challenges to our final 3! I will only be posting 2 of the challenges today! Challenge one was to use only products they had previously send me photos of to make a card or layout. Challenge 2 was to make a Christmas themed postcard from the Island! Their 3rd challenge was to make a sign that I will post to announce the winner!!! Each person will have a photo collage for their first photo..It has the biggest picture as what the made and the smaller photos around it of what they sent me that the had to choose from to use!  There may be multiple photos for their other project!!! :)

Voting this week will be handled a little differently. I'm still trying to figure out a way to make this work and I think I've finally got it... SO...TO VOTE FOR WHO YOU THINK SHOULD WIN PCI SEASON #1 PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT ON THIS POST! I will have it set so that comments will NOT appear until I approve them...and I will not approve them until voting is over. This way no one can be influenced on who votes for who! I will send vote counts out to my final 3 through out the weekend so they know where they stand! Comments will go from NOW until SUNDAY NOV. 11 at 11:59 pm. Any comments after that time WILL NOT COUNT!

BUT WAIT...

PROJECT 1: Take ONLY what you sent me photos of and use to make either a card or layout. BUT you can ONLY use what you sent me photos of....of course inks, stickles, glossy accents are ok...but you can not use anything different then what you've shown me as far as the main items!

 

PROJECT #2- Since we will be gone over the Holidays I'd love to see a Christmas Island Postcard (think back to the first Immunity!) But all Christmas this time...

 

Project #3- Make and decorate a sign that says "I JUST WON SEASON #1 OF PAPER CRAFT ISLAND" Decorate it however you'd like!!! Have fun with it!! I will only be posting the first two projects to vote on and your sign will be how I announce the winner!!!

It's that time again...

Good morning, everyone!!! I am so very excited that it's finally voting day to choose the 3rd person to be in the Final 3!!!! My other 2 competitors have been going stir crazy this week not having anything to do and anxiously awaiting to see who will be joining them!!!

For this final "Fishy" challenge I told the 2 fishys (yes that's a word and yes that's how I'm spelling it!) that they had to make a project showing why they should be in the finals. I wanted them to make something that showcased their talents...and boy....did they ever! I couldn't be happier with their projects! No matter how this vote goes both Islanders have been just amazing! Every project a treasure in itself! I am so proud of how far they have made it!!!

Another member voted out....

Well it's been a CRAZY week here on the Island and it looks like because of Sandy it's only going to get worse!!! To everyone on the East Coast please be careful and know we are all praying for your safety!!

After the silly voting Mix Up I can say we have a clear Fan Favorite...and that was...

 

#2 with 17 out of 26 votes!!! HOWEVER...at Tribal Council #2's torch was put out!

And on to some MORE news... What would the real "Survivor" be without it's Redemption Island??? Well we've had our own version going on here... 2nd Chance Island... Where previously eliminated Islanders got to battle each other to see who could win and come back into the main challenge!

 

So Both #2 and Fishy #1 will battle this week and one of them will make it back onto the Island for the Final Challenge!!! So this Saturday (unless Sandy has her say!) we will have the final fishy vote and you (the public) will choose who will make it back into the game!!!

It will be a very important vote therefore I do NOT want to run into poll problems so we will do the email votes again! I will post the photos (as long as I can and they both could participate)

At 9:15pm I discovered that the polls off to the side have messed up. For some reason ALL of the votes have disappeared and I have NO idea why. So here is what we are going to do. Thanksgiving projects revealed!!!!!!!!

First of all I MUST say I am super glad I am not in the position my final 3 are in. This week they truly amazed me. These projects are all gorgeous and to think they did this with less time then normal PLUS had to send me different photos every day! WOW! I'm in awe... Good Luck to all 3 of you...this is gonna be TOUGH!

So the following are this weeks projects. We will (as always) do a fan favorite poll on the side just for fun! Pick which # is your favorite and vote away! Ok final 3...are you ready for this week's "what would have been Immunity Challenge?" Well...too bad....There isn't one! Well not in the sense of what you are used to!

This week we will be doing something different...and all 3 of you MUST do this. It will affect your final project(s)!!!

Every day this week I post on here something you need to take a photo of (crafty related) and you must email it to me each day! That's it..Take the photo..send it...Simple! BUT IT MUST BE DONE! Think of it as a scavenger hunt of sorts! If you do NOT email me a photo it WILL hurt you should you make the finals! So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make sure you do this!

So by 11:59pm EST everyday (Mon-Fri) I will expect 3 emails of photos (one from each of you!)

 

So for MONDAY you must find and photo a 12x12 piece of pattern paper or pattern cardstock! Easy peasy right?

 

You just never know whats going on here anymore....bwahahaha...So choose your paper wisely!!! :)

Big Challenge #7 Revealed

Good Morning, Islanders! It's that time again! Time to unveil this weeks challenge...and WOW! The final 4 have really outdone themselves this time around! I'm in love with all 4 projects...It's going to be a VERY difficult vote this week!

Big Challenge Theme #8

Good Morning everyone!!! It's that time again...Time to announce your next challenge...Now if you'll remember correctly tho we didn't have "Immunity" this week I said the winner would win a BIG advantage... Well here it is.. The winner from last weeks "What used to be Immunity" Challenge got to set the Big Challenge for you guys! Yup...so not only did this person get to come up with the challenge but they got a head start on you guys...and after seeing what this person came up with...well...Time alone was a blessing!!!

So here it is:

Dear Castaways,

Your numbers are dwindling but you are ever thankful that you have been able to survive the harsh conditions on the island so far. You have decided to host a dinner to celebrate your gratitude, and remember that the American holiday of Thanksgiving approaches. Your PCI challenge this week is to create Thanksgiving holiday table decor of some sort for your festive dinner table. It does NOT have to be a centerpiece ... it can be anything you could find on a Thanksgiving holiday table.

It MUST include (or you face disqualification) the following items:

• the word: thank or some derivative of the word (thanksgiving, thanks, thankful, thanking, etc.);
• the color: orange (or any shade of orange, lighter to peach, or darker to rust), along with any other colors (no limit) of your choosing;
• the supply: actual twine, string, jute or hemp - (not painted/drawn or depicted on paper)
• the shape: at least one leaf in any medium (real, paper, painted, etc.)

A photograph of your project must be submitted to our host by Friday, October 26 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern, or your torch will be automatically snuffed.

Someone is voted off & Immunity

Good moring everyone!! Well it's time again to put someones torch out...and I hate to do it but we must say good-bye to #2! You've done an amazing job and made it quite far so you should be very proud of yourself! I've so enjoyed having you stay on the Island and you will be missed!

Now on to Immunity.... Since there are only 4 left I believe it's time to end the Immunity Challenges! However there will still be a project made and voted on and the winner will receive an advantage in the next big challenge! So if you would like a shot at winning this advantage you must submit a photo of your project to me no later then 11:59 pm EST on Friday October 12, 2012!

 

For this project I would like you to make anything you would like...BUT... it must include at least 3 flowers, some sort of stamped image or sentiment, and pattern paper. You will be allowed to use a "white" piece for your stamped image and solid colors to mat your pattern papers but everything else must be pattern paper!
